COMMUNITY BASED THERAPIST - Part Time

For more than 80 years, Child Guidance & Family Solutions has been a nationally recognized leader providing innovative and effective mental health services for children, teens, adults and families. Our therapists meet you where you are – in our offices, in pediatricians’ offices, in the home, at childcare centers, and on-site in elementary, middle and high schools.
The Community Based therapist provides mental and behavioral health counseling and prevention services to children, adolescents, adults and families through services delivered primarily in clients' homes and in the community. Services include mental health assessments, co-occurring disorder assessments, individual counseling, family counseling, CPST, and crisis intervention, and are provided in afternoon and evening hours.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and family counseling in client's homes and in the community.
- Conduct mental health assessments and evaluations to establish appropriate treatment goals and objectives for clients.
- Plan, implement and regularly modify treatment plans to ensure clients are meeting individualized goals.
- Utilize symptom screeners and functional outcomes to determine ongoing medical necessity.
- Maintain regular ongoing contact with parents/guardians, and collaborate with client collaterals (teachers, probation officers, protective services, etc.) when necessary.
- Identify client needs and carry out referrals to both internal and external resources.
Required Qualifications:
- LPC, LISW, LPCC, IMFT, or LSW licensure and Master’s Degree required.
- At least 6 months experience providing therapy through internship or other field experience.
- Strong ethical decision-making skills and ability to think critically and utilize problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Valid Ohio driver's license and insurability under the Agency policy.
- Ability to work until 7-8 pm several nights per week.
