SCHOOL & COMMUNITY-BASED THERAPIST

Child Guidance & Family Solutions is seeking a qualified and compassionate Therapist to provide mental and behavioral health counseling and prevention services to clients, working primarily in schools, client homes and the community. Service delivery includes mental health and co-occurring disorder assessments; individual, group and family counseling; CPST; and crisis intervention.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct mental health assessments and evaluations to establish appropriate treatment goals and objectives for clients.
- Plan, implement and regularly modify treatment plans to ensure clients are meeting individualized goals.
- Deliver comprehensive therapy (individual and group) and CGST services to school-based clients, based on their appropriate level of care; maintain regular contact with school personnel and parents/guardians, and provide consultation for school staff regarding the mental health needs of the school-based client.
- Provide individual and family counseling in client's home and in the community; maintain regular ongoing contact with parents/guardians, and collaborate with client collaterals (teachers, probation officers, protective services, etc.) when necessary.
- Identify resources for any additional services needed by clients, and provide linkage and carry out both internal and external referrals.
Required Qualifications:
- LSW/LISW, LPC/LPCC, or IMFT licensure and Master's Degree required.
- At least 6 months' experience providing therapy through internship and other field experience.
- Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of effective behavioral intervention strategies.
- Ability to think critically and utilize problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
