We're hiring a School-Based Therapist to provide individual support and mental health consultation to students in Portage County’s Windham and Maplewood schools. You'll collaborate with school personnel to provide treatment to identified students, provide crisis intervention services as needed, and refer students to our Agency for higher level care when appropriate. The School-Based Therapist also engages in ongoing discussions with school personnel about how changes in laws and/or community events can impact student needs.

We're hiring a School-Based Therapist to provide individual support and mental health consultation to students in Portage County’s Windham and Maplewood schools. You'll collaborate with school personnel to provide treatment to identified students, provide crisis intervention services as needed, and refer students to our Agency for higher level care when appropriate. The School-Based Therapist also engages in ongoing discussions with school personnel about how changes in laws and/or community events can impact student needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provides mental health consultation and counseling for identified students
- Assists school personnel with learning behavioral interventions
- Participates in IEP, 504, and grade meetings, parent conferences, and school events
- Collaborates with school personnel for professional development related to mental health
- Refers clients to the Agency’s treatment services, and facilitates communication between school personnel and School-Based Billable staff
- Assists with expanding billable and prevention services within the school districts
- LISW, LPCC or IMFT licensure and Master’s Degree required.
- At least 2 years providing therapy services in the field; school-based experience preferred.
- Ability to think critically and utilize problem-solving skills; strong ethical decision-making skills required.
