About the Role: Child Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Center Manager for our Early Head Start program. This vital leadership role oversees the total operation of the assigned center, ensuring compliance with all Head Start Performance Standards, Child Inc. policies, and licensing regulations. The Center Manager is responsible for fostering a supportive and effective learning environment for children, staff, and families, with a focus on continuous quality improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Center Operations:
- Assist with developing and managing center budgets.
- Coordinate and lead staff and parent meetings.
- Process purchasing and ensure timely completion of reports.
- Oversee enrollment, educational programming, and regulatory compliance.
Program Oversight:
- Ensure implementation of Head Start, state, and federal standards.
- Supervise nutrition, health, family engagement, and safety initiatives.
- Manage central kitchen operations related to food service.
Staff Leadership:
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate classroom and kitchen staff.
- Facilitate professional development and team meetings.
- Monitor staff schedules, timekeeping, and performance evaluations.
Monitoring & Evaluation:
- Track program budget, child records, and staff documentation.
- Supervise and participate in home visits and parent engagement.
- Conduct performance assessments and develop improvement plans.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain records, assessments, reports, and communication logs.
- Prepare documentation for transitions, referrals, and special services.
- Uphold all licensing and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (required).
- At least 1 year of classroom experience in a licensed childcare setting.
- Early Head Start experience (required).
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Valid driver's license, personal transportation, and insurance.
- Ability to travel and attend overnight training sessions.
- Successful completion of all required background checks.
