Child Saving Institute (CSI) provides a safe haven and healing for young victims of family crisis, neglect and abuse. Our mission is "responding to the cry of a child. Our over 140 employees provide comprehensive services to children at risk and their families through programs such as early childhood education, foster care, adoption, an emergency shelter, parenting classes and therapy.
Shelter Supervisor
Child Saving Institute, a nonprofit organization, has an immediate opening for a human services professional who can establish relationships with youth and oversee staff in a 12-bed short-term residential Emergency Shelter. CSIs Emergency Shelter provides a safe, supportive environment for at-risk children and youth who are unable to remain in their homes due to family disruption. During their stay, youth attend their home schools, eat meals together, go on outings, and have visits with family members. The Shelter operates 24 hours a day, every day, year around.
Full-time; 40 hours per week.
Sunday- Thursday (Friday and Saturday OFF) 2:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements (include but are not limited to the following):
- Bachelors degree in Human Services preferred
- 21 years of age or older
- At least two years experience working with youth in crisis and their families
- Ability to lead program components
- Experience in residential care facilities preferred
- Strong Direct Service Professional Skills
- Own transportation that meets agency vehicle inspection requirements, Valid drivers license with no more than 3 points, Proof of insurance that meets agency requirements, Ability to complete defensive driver training class.
Other: The scope of this position includes providing program services on an on-call basis; evenings and weekends required.
