What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Specialist position at Child Start?
Under the direction of the IT Manager, Child Start's IT Specialist is tasked with overseeing and sustaining the organization's information technology systems. This includes the management of computer networks, hardware, software, and data by installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and updating systems. The role also involves providing technical support to users and ensuring adherence to data security protocols, effectively serving as the primary contact for all IT-related concerns within the organization.
Installs, assembles and configures computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, scanners and related hardware; connects users to networks and provides initial training; assists in administration e-mail and anti-virus systems.
Installs, configures and upgrades operating systems and software; troubleshoots problems with computer systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software, e-mail, network and peripheral equipment problems; makes repairs and corrections where required.
Provides telephone, in-person and online support to staff with regards to software, network connection, and hardware issues.

Requirements
Some college or Associate Degree and/or specialized training or certification.
Requires one to three years of related experience.
Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.

- Maintains current list of active help tickets and monitors progress on each issue
- Keeps supplies and equipment organized and stored in secure location
- Perform routine set-up, trouble shooting, and training on phone system(s)
- Maintains security system hardware and software and ensures functionality
- Maintaining accurate documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, troubleshooting procedures, and user guides.
Requirements
