Position Overview:
The Curriculum Coordinator will work closely with our teaching staff to design, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate curriculum and educational programs that align with the preschool’s values and developmental goals. This role requires a strong understanding of early childhood development, a passion for creating engaging learning experiences, and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and assess curriculum frameworks that support the developmental needs of children aged 2-5 years.
- Collaborate with teachers to design lesson plans and create educational resources that foster creativity, critical thinking, and social-emotional growth.
- Provide ongoing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities for teaching staff on curriculum-related topics.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the curriculum and make data-driven adjustments based on feedback and assessment outcomes.
- Ensure alignment with state standards, developmental milestones, and best practices in early childhood education.
- Engage with parents and guardians to communicate curriculum objectives and strategies for supporting learning at home.
- Stay up to date on current trends in early childhood education and incorporate new ideas and research into the curriculum.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment within the teaching team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 3 years in a leadership or curriculum development role.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood developmental stages and best practices in curriculum design.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate a team of educators.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to decision-making.
- Familiarity with child assessment tools and data-driven curriculum adjustments is a plus.
