Position Description:
This is a full-time main office role for an Assistant Project Manager at Childers Construction Company located in Tallahassee, FL. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for pre-construction services, GMP’, closeouts, project management tasks on a day-to-day basis assisting the project managers with their projects. You will also be responsible for prequalifying all subcontractors and calling their references and evaluating the information provided on their prequalification forms, W-9s, Certificates of Insurance, licenses and bonding capabilities. You will handle bid advertisements and be responsible for having adequate coverage of bids at all bid openings. This position will handle contract administration, securing parking at jobsites for Childers employees and subcontractors as needed. You will also assist the President of Childers with any of his administrative needs. The Assistant Project Manager will also handle safety support on the jobsites with signage, manuals and equipment required for a safe jobsite. The salary for this position will directly reflect the experience one brings to the position.

Qualifications
- Procurement of bonds and Insurance for all projects
- Project Management and coordinating many tasks at one time
- Experience in project coordination and customer service
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus
- Coordination of IT issues prioritizing with the outside firm that handles the IT issues
