ChildNet Youth & Family Services, Inc. is currently searching for Billing Support for our Behavioral Health Services program in Long Beach, CA.
Behavioral Health Services (BHS) provides comprehensive services including individual / group therapy for at-risk children and their families. The Billing Support staff will be responsible for providing billing support for the mental health component of the Behavioral Health program. This position will work in collaboration with the Assistant Billing Director to ensure that all Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) requirements are met efficiently and in a timely manner.
Example Job Responsibilities :
- Maintain the daily billing functions of Behavioral Health Services for the Inland Empire region.
- Produce both electronic and manual billing, as needed, using all technology available to produce clean claims.
- Verify client Medi-Cal eligibility at specified intervals, such as initially and monthly, or as required.
- Create and maintain client financial folders.
- Enter client services and pay sources into the internal Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Enter billing into the ChildNet internal EHR and into county billing systems.
- Transfer clients within internal EHR and external county systems. Provide non-Medi-Cal notifications to designated contact person for both Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
- Compile monthly reports for various funding sources and non-Medi-Cal clients.
- Reconcile Department of Behavioral Health / Behavioral Health Services billing reports.
- Attend meetings / trainings as necessary or required to stay current with requirements and protocols for both Riverside and San Bernardino billing systems and ChildNet’s EHR system.
- Cross-train in all areas of the department in order to provide coverage within the department, as needed.
- Work cooperatively and cohesively with the Assistant Billing Director / Director in implementing new procedures and documentation; provide feedback and support.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
