What are the responsibilities and job description for the Culinary Specialist for Child Care position at Children's Academy?
We are a high quality child care center in Cottonwood Heights and our looking for a Cook/ Food specialist. This employee would be responsible for the following items:
- Help create family-style, nutritional meal plans that meet state guidelines
- Prepare and serve nutritious and delicious meals and snacks for children and staff.
- Maintain inventory of food and supplies.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment
We are looking for candidates that are as passionate about food and nutrition and have a love and understanding of children . We are most interested in talking to applicants that have:
- Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals, preferably in a childcare facility
- An understanding of all current state and local regulations
- Flexibility
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have or be willing to get food handlers permit
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
