The Lead Teacher will play a crucial role in creating a dynamic classroom environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning. This position involves developing and implementing lesson plans, mentoring assistant teachers, and collaborating with families to support student growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Assess and document student progress, providing regular feedback to students and families.
- Mentor and support assistant teachers and classroom aides, promoting professional growth.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians.
- Implement classroom management strategies that promote respect and positive behavior.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students at all times.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or
similar field. - At least 2500 hours of experience working with children.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, staff, and caregivers.
- This is a Safety Sensitive Position.
- Spanish fluency is preferred.
