What You’ll Do:
- Manage insurance billing for Medicaid, private insurances, and other funding sources.
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before services are rendered.
- Submit claims in a timely and accurate manner to ensure prompt reimbursement.
- Follow up on denied or rejected claims, identifying and correcting errors to maximize approval rates.
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Work closely with families to explain billing details, assist with financial questions, and provide clarity on insurance coverage.
- Maintain accurate financial records, process payments, and track outstanding balances.
- Ensure compliance with Medicaid regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and company policies.
- Experience in medical billing, medical coding, insurance claims, and reimbursement processes (preferably in pediatrics or therapy services).
- Knowledge of Medicaid and private insurance billing procedures, including CPT codes, prior authorizations, and appeals.
- Strong problem-solving skills to handle claim rejections and denials efficiently.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
- Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office applications.
