JOB DESCRIPTION
I. Position Title: Kitchen Assistant
II. Job Goal: To prepare and serve well-balanced meals and nourishment to the infants and toddlers.
III. Responsible to: Kitchen Manager, Assistant Director and Executive Director
IV. Qualifications:
a. Knowledge of meal preparation, presentation, and nutritional guidelines.
b. The desire and ability to work with infants, toddlers and young children.
c. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
d. Training in Dietary Guidelines for children after employment is required.

V. Performance Objectives:
a. Assist in meal prep, set up at meal times, dishes and other cleanup.
b. Is responsible for the cleanliness of the infant cafeteria, storeroom and infant employee bathroom.
c. Keep track of general supplies that are needed and turn in a list to the
Kitchen Manager.
g. Assist with the children whenever needed.
h. Current T.B. test, C.P.R. Certification, First Aid, nutritional information and
continuing education classes are required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
