About the role!

The Director of Clinical & Behavioral Programs- EBC is responsible for being the conduit between the Clinical Program Managers and the Executive Director. The Director of Clinical & Behavioral Programs is responsible for directly implementing and supporting an updated clinical and behavioral model within EBC Schools. Additionally, they will provide direct support, coaching, and supervision to associate staff, working collaboratively with the site program manager. This individual is a member of the administrative cabinet of EBC School and must have a comprehensive understanding of mental health and behavioral services within the school setting. This position currently reports to the Executive Director- EBC Schools.

As The Director of Clinical & Behavioral Programs- EBC you will:

  • Coordinate and support a comprehensive school-based therapeutic milieu.
  • Supervise and provide feedback on all physical interventions on school campuses.
  • Holds responsibility for ensuring the integrated development and implementation of all clinical treatment programs in adherence with all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Oversee clinical team meetings, across campuses, to ensure integrated and consistent care among mental health providers.
  • Oversee productivity of school clinicians and assures an appropriate number of clinicians to meet productivity requirements.
  • Oversee behavioral team meetings, across campuses, to ensure integrated and consistent behavioral responses are used.
  • Support the Site Behavior Program Managers in ensuring all behavioral data is updated weekly.
  • Support the Site Clinical Program Managers in any special duties performed by a clinician including, but not limited to, referrals to CPS, psychiatric hospitalization, or police/probation officer involvement and communication to the Executive Director.
  • Provide weekly clinical supervision to specified EBC therapists and is available for clinical consults as necessary across campuses.
  • Oversee the collection and dissemination of data for measuring outcomes and/or assessing overall program effectiveness in the areas of mental health and behavior. Regularly updates the Executive Director as to program effectiveness as measured through developed instruments.
  • Be responsible for tracking EBC’s therapeutic and behavior budget for each campus.
  • Oversees the appropriate maintenance of clinical sections of student files across school campuses.
  • Oversee Crisis Response training and implementation across both campuses.
  • Perform other clinically related duties as requested by the School Executive Director.

  • Knowledge of best practices in school-based mental and behavioral health.

About your background (education/experience):

  • A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience post-licensure as a Ph.D., PsyD., LCSW, or LMFT or a minimum of 5 years of experience as a lead BCBA within a school-based program.
  • Demonstrated certification (e.g., via CE attendance) to supervise mental health clinicians and trainees or ability to supervise classroom RBTs.
  • Prefer special education background and a minimum of 5 years of school-based work experience with children who have social/emotional disorders and/or severe learning disabilities.
  • Has experience preparing and presenting Individual Educational Plans (IEP).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Working Conditions

Physical Requirements:

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to undergo training and implementation of Crisis Response Training.
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods for instruction and supervision.

Special Job Requirements:

  • It will be necessary for the Director of Clinical and Behavior Programs to occasionally attend after-school or agency-wide events that take place after regular school hours.
  • The Director of Clinical and Behavior Program is expected to attend such events as they are scheduled.
  • 220-day calendar to be determined by the employee and supervisor.
  • This is an on-site position.

Compensation:

Range: $130,000-$155,000 per year
