Children’s Cardiology, a subsidiary of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, is comprised of more than 60 pediatric cardiologists providing comprehensive services for patients from before birth to age 21 who have acquired or congenital heart disease. The Operations Support Technician supports internal employees regarding desktop, laptop, and mobile-device related issues. This role provides technical assistance to onsite and remote users.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with Active Directory, networking protocols, and video conferencing.
- Healthcare IT experience preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of desktop imaging.
- Highly proficient in Windows 10, Microsoft 365, Outlook, and related software.
- Demonstrated knowledge of user setup and management in a Windows Server 2016 and 2019 environment.
- Must possess a high level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and follow-through discipline.
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Travel to sites in Metro Atlanta 50%.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee daily performance of computer systems.
- Provide technical support to users and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, peripheral devices, and mobile devices.
- Set up equipment for employee use, ensure proper installation of cables, operating systems, and appropriate software.
- Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
- Basic Windows server administration: Adding users, printers, and file share management.
- Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions take, or installation activities.
- Enter commands and monitor system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors.
- Confer with users and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
- Prepare evaluations of software or hardware and recommend improvements or upgrades.
- Inspect equipment and review order sheets to prepare for delivery to users.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
