The Children's Home of Poughkeepsie has been caring for children throughout the Hudson Valley for over 175 years! We strive to empower children and families to achieve optimal health and well being. We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Administrative Assistant to join our Health Services Department.
The Medical Administrative Assistant assumes duties assigned by the Medical Team, including but not limited to preparing medical charts, setting up medical appointments for youth in care, assisting in maintaining the medical file, maintaining inventory for medical supplies for the clinic and medication cabinets, stocking first aid kits, and other clerical and administrative duties as assigned.
Schedule: Sunday 11am - 7pm, Monday - Wednesday 8:30am to 8:30pm,Thursday - Saturday OFF

Qualifications
Essential:

High School diploma or associates degree with clerical experience

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Positive, friendly attitude toward children.

Valid New York State Driver's License with good driving record as determined by the Agency.
Non-Essential: (preferred)

Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field

Experience working with medical records and/or a healthcare setting

Bi-lingual Spanish- English
