Summary
The Children's Home Society of WV is seeking a full time Child Advocacy Center Supervisor at our Martinsburg location. This position is responsible for directing all aspects of the program, including program administration, staff supervision, client advocacy, community outreach, and program budget management.
What you will be doing:
- Direct all aspects of the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) program for the tri-county area (Berkley, Jefferson, and Morgan counties).
- Supervise staff. Conduct individual supervisory sessions and provide employee performance evaluations.
- Recruit and hire program staff.
- Support newly trained interviewers in the process of meeting forensic interviewing protocols and continued skill development, modeling best practice.
- Ensure the program meets standards and requirements for accreditation, licensing, contract and grant provisions, agency policies, Medicaid, and other payers.
- Serve as the primary contact for all initial referrals to the CAC.
- Testify in civil and criminal court proceedings, as appropriate or requested, on the interview process and techniques as well as specific interviews in individual cases.
- Promote the utilization of a Multi-Disciplinary Investigate Team approach to all sexual abuse and severe physical abuse cases, with the goal of minimizing further trauma to child victims.
- Continually strengthen the Multi-Disciplinary Investigative Team process by developing working relationships with all partners. Recruit necessary team members, where appropriate, and ensure all partners are involved with investigations.
- Assist with the management of the program budget.
- Compile and submit all monthly reports, including grant reporting and statistics.
- Be actively involved with community outreach and ensure the community is involved in agency efforts in a meaningful way.
- Compile literature and other resource materials regarding child abuse and make these resources available to the public.
- Coordinate specialized child sexual and physical abuse training and education programs.
- Develop and implement fundraising activities.
- Maintain leadership roles in local, regional, and state child welfare activities and ensure staff do the same.
- Advocate for children and their families.
- Ensure clients are protected, nurtured, treated with respect, and provided a child friendly service environment.
- Assist the agency administrative staff in program quality assurance and risk management efforts.
- Be consistently available for consultation and support.
- Be a positive role model for children and their families and program staff.

What you will need:
- Master's degree in social work or a related human services field preferred, Bachelor's degree and social work license required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in the human services field.
- Demonstrated ability to work with children, youth and families.
- Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage.
- Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
- Ability to understand and support the values of family-centered services, which include committing to family stability and development of skill in assessing risk to children to ensure safety.
- Willingness to comply with professional standards as specified by the NASW Code of Ethics.
