What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Staff Education position at Children's Home?

POSITION SUMMARY: The Children’s Home Director of Staff Education oversees a team of training specialists in a child welfare and mental health organization providing congregate, preventive, education, and childcare services to youth and families across upstate NY. The Director of Staff Education can affect change through evidence based, creative and trauma focused training for agency staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide supervision and support to the team of Training Specialists
- Stay up to date on mandates from oversight agencies
- Update training requirements as needed
- Work closely with a variety of department leads and staff across the state to ensure training standards are met.
- Oversee and provide evidence-based modalities (i.e. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, CARE etc.)
- Utilize a learning management system to capture and track all employee trainings
- Lead group and individual trainings in-person and virtually at sites throughout New York State
- Represent the agency in community learning spaces and training opportunities with other agencies
- Travel is required for this role
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master's degree preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years related experience
- Must have knowledge in one or more of the following evidence-based modalities: Family and Community-Based Models, Therapeutic and Mental Health Treatment Models, Trauma-Informed and Crisis Intervention Models, Child welfare and Residential Treatment Models.
- Must have a Valid Drivers License
