POSITION SUMMARY:
The Children’s Home of Wyoming Conference (CHWC) is excited to establish the new Children & Families Support Initiative (CFSI) in Ulster County, bringing community-based services to youth aged 10 and their families.
With a focus on collaboration, the CFSI team maintains manageable caseloads and works closely with schools, courts, and community partners to provide strength-based guidance and informed decision-making. The Director oversees the program, ensuring effective implementation of service plans, policies, and procedures, while fostering strong relationships with Ulster County departments. The Director also plays a key role in creating supportive networks for youth and families, ensuring they receive the resources and support necessary to thrive.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee program operations and ensure Case Management and Youth Coach staff implement service plans effectively, providing case management support as needed.
- Collaborate with staff to develop, implement, supervise, and administer policies, procedures, and personnel to meet program objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all New York State Office of Children and Family Services mandated preventive regulations.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with Ulster County Departments (e.g., UCDSS, Probation, County Attorney’s Office, Family Court) and participate in advisory boards and coalitions as requested.
- Create and maintain supportive networks for youth and families to enhance their outcomes.
- Provide inspiring leadership and guidance to ensure the program meets its goals and supports the community effectively.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field required
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Three or more years experience in child welfare, juvenile justice, or community engagement services required
- Two or more years of supervisory experience in community-based program required
- Valid Driver’s License required
