- Build and deliver an effective workforce analytics capability that supports clinical staffing and productivity across the organization;
- Manage and maximize the technical components of our HRIS system; and
- Support leadership decision-making and financial sustainability via analytics, data management, and trend analysis.
You’ll manage the current HRIS team and advance the sophistication of HR technology and analytics tools to support business goals. Strong candidates will bring excellent leadership and prioritization skills, critical thinking, business acumen, and subject matter expertise (data management, workforce productivity, analytical problem solving, strategic thinking, etc.) to this role. An exceptional candidate will be able to drive change and manage teams to deliver on key measurables, such as:
- Optimizing workforce productivity for patient safety and experience;
- Increasing availability and effectiveness of data metric tracking;
- Shepherd the organization’s labor management and position control processes;
- Increasing efficiency of operations across all HR teams; and
- Automating processes to achieve more actionable performance feedback and data-driven decision making.
- Supports data-driven decisions, activities, programs, goals, and systems of non-HR departments across the organization (e.g., budgeting, quality/safety initiatives, clinical/workforce productivity, alternative staffing models), ensuring departments have access to the data, HR systems, and HR resources they need optimize project results and business outcomes.
- Develops a team and capability around more robust people-analytics in an effort to drive data-driven staffing and workforce decisions that enable strategic, operational, and financial goals of CHKD.
- Serves as a business partner for organization leaders seeking to understand their workforce productivity and staffing challenges and trends.
- Oversees the development and maintenance of the HR information system - including working with external vendors to understand and develop their roadmap to provide CHKD tools that will enhance internal and external workflows.
- Creatively drives solutions for automation and data integrity, where necessary.
- Attends external events and webinars, as well as internal administrative, staff, or strategic program meetings as a representative of the Chief People Officer, as requested.
- Supervises the day-to-day operations of the HRIS team and workforce analytics staff.
- Oversees and facilitate the Labor Management Committee to support CHKD’s labor management processes, balancing the needs for financial sustainability, patient safety, and positive employee experience.
- Promotes greater utilization and understanding of current and future HR Technology and Analytics capabilities across all teams at CHKD.
- Builds, motivates, and leads a high-performance team; attracts, recruits, and retains required members of the team; provides mentoring and development opportunities that are commensurate with an “employer of choice”.
- Leads, manages, coaches, and trains a team or department, provides guidance, support, and mentors to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
- Oversees the recruitment, hiring, team/department orientation, performance appraisals and disciplinary actions including up to termination processes for a team or department.

- Relevant HR certifications preferred.
- Relevant data analytics or data science certifications preferred.
- Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, business management, HR, or another related field or equivalent data certification required.
- 10 years of work experience in human resources required.
- Experience working in a healthcare provider setting required.
- 5 years’ experience managing a team and working directly with senior leaders required.
