Job Description:
We are looking for a compassionate and dynamic Toddler Teacher to work with children aged 18 to 24 months. In this role, you will provide a warm, supportive, and structured environment where toddlers can explore, learn, and grow. You will collaborate with fellow teachers and caregivers to develop age-appropriate activities that promote socialization, communication, and motor skills, while also ensuring a safe and secure classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help to implement daily lessons and activities that are developmentally appropriate for toddlers (18-24 months).
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and independence.
- Promote language development, social skills, and physical growth through play, music, art, and other hands-on activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Maintain regular communication with parents, providing updates on their child’s progress and addressing any concerns.
- Participate in regular team meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Assist with feeding, diapering, and other basic care routines as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with toddlers or young children in a daycare or educational setting.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Must be able to pass a background check and meet Texas licensing requirements for child care providers.
