Children’s Minnesota is seeking Pediatric Hematology/Oncologist to join the Cancer and Blood Disorders program as full time hospitalist to provide on-site 24/7/365 coverage in our Minneapolis location.
Our hematology/oncology hospitalist program was established 6 years ago and is founded on the principle that sub-specialization in hospital-based hem/onc care will improve patient outcomes and experience. The hospitalist manages the inpatient services for hematology and oncology and responds to outpatient calls after hours. The hospitalist team collaborates and communicates with other hematology/oncology providers ensuring continuity between inpatient and ambulatory settings.
Our current team of hospitalists work approximately 7 nights and 5 days approximately every 5 weeks. Within this position, there are opportunities for program development and quality improvement work.
Shifts:
Rotating days and nights
Weekend and holidays included in rotation
Who we are looking for:
Pediatric Hematology Oncologist with interest in providing inpatient pediatric Hem/Onc care to join a team of 4 other inpatient hospitalists.
Qualifications:
Active Minnesota M.D. or D.O. medical license or eligibility
Board Eligible/Certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
Active DEA Registration
Children’s Minnesota Hospital privileges or ability to obtain privileges
