What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator Financial Planning & Analysis position at Children's of Alabama?
The FP&A Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and preparation of the annual budget, the Medicare Cost Report, Graduate Medical Education (“GME”) reporting, maintenance of the organization’s budget and departmental reporting system, and distribution of monthly financial reports to department leadership. This includes collaborating with leadership throughout the organization to provide data and increase understanding of financial operations. This position will also provide support for cost accounting.
Aid management in developing complete and accurate operating and capital budgets for the organization
Coordinate the annual budget process, including but not limited to developing the overall budget timeline and communication and preparation and presentation of training materials
Prepare annual budgets for revenues & non-departmental expenses
Collaborate with department leadership to develop annual department expense budgets and aid in ongoing monitoring of financial results
Utilize understanding of hospital operations to analyze data for Medicare Cost Report
Prepare schedules according to CMS guidance for Medicare Cost Report
Assist with GME program reporting
Assist with month end patient acuity reporting and revenue analysis
Provide ad hoc reporting and data as needed to support financial and business operations
Other duties as assigned
