Job Summary
As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young children can learn and grow. Your role will involve developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum to promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children.
Duties
- Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children
- Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use both in learning activities and in imaginative play
- Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide regular updates on their child's progress
- Ensure the learning environment is clean, safe, and organized
- Monitor and document children's progress and behavior
- Collaborate with other teachers to coordinate curriculum across all preschool classrooms
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare setting
- Knowledge of child development and early childhood education principles and developmentally appropriate practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively using positive behavior management techniques
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
