MARKETING ASSOCIATEJOB DESCRIPTIONCOLLIDE THEATRICAL DANCE COMPANYJOB DESCRIPTIONThe Marketing Associate will play a crucial role in the creation and execution of marketing assets for production campaigns and institutional events. In an ever-changing arts landscape, this position will create, develop, and implement marketing plans and strategies in an effort to increase company visibility and diversification. The ideal candidate will be highly self-driven, with a demonstrated ability to wear multiple hats and build / improve strategies for audience retention. This is a part-time contract position.This position reports to and will work closely with the Managing Director and the Executive Artistic Director to ensure smooth daily operations. All employees are expected to support Collide’s mission to provide high-quality art to the Twin Cities through artistic excellence, artist support, accessibility, and respect.The typical schedule for this role will vary based on the dynamic schedule of a dance company but does require evening and weekend availability during production weeks and occasionally outside of season performances.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Create an annual marketing plan with guidance from Collide Management.Implement and create a seasonal marketing calendar.Work with Graphic Designer on the creation of all promotional materials, logos, etc. per performance and event.Create press releases and contact press contacts.Work with Collide Box Office manager in soliciting, growing, and contacting group and educational sales leads.Work with Collide Outreach partners to grow relationships and set up performance attendance.Update and maintain the company website; adding all events and links to productions in cooperation with the Box Office Manager as needed.Schedule quarterly photo shoots and production photos.Schedule and hire videographers for production marketing.Control all social media feeds including Instagram, Facebook, Tik-Tok.Manage all mass email communications.Control and plan the distribution of marketing materials.Assist with the creation of show programs and printing of all marketing materials.REQUIREMENTS Knowledge of and experience with marketing principles, especially as they relate to the changing landscape of the non-profit arts market.The ability to adhere to a set budget and generate and meaningfully analyze marketing reports.Possess excellent curiosity, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills. Apply them in this role to help achieve the mission and strategies of the organization.Communicate and work effectively with stakeholders of varying communication styles and backgrounds (e.g., communications, thinking, abilities, etc.). Build positive relationships with donors, patrons, board members, community stakeholders, and colleagues.Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, provide exemplary customer service, and have the ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive documents. Must also possess strong writing skills for multiple audiences – press releases, show descriptions, brochure copy, e-blast communication, social media updates, etc.Compensation : This is a part-time contract position with flexible hours. 15-20 hrs / week. $22.00 / hourCollide Theatrical Dance Company is an equal opportunity employer.
