Founded in 1979 by a group of very involved, hands-on, highly regarded therapists, Children’s Therapy Center is on a mission to maximize the potential of children with disabilities. Our approach is to dismantle racism and ableism by offering collaborative, personalized, and family-centered physical, occupational, and speech therapy. We believe in the power of teamwork and offer early intervention services and multidisciplinary, play-based, and child-led early childhood special education.
Children’s Therapy Center is seeking an experienced Director of Programs to join our Strategic Leadership Team! Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Programs at CTC is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all community programs. Our Program Director is responsible for ensuring programs are effective, sustainable, and aligned with the organization’s mission and values. This includes developing and managing comprehensive services in collaboration with internal teams, community partners, and funding organizations. The Director of Programs will advocate for children and families, build and maintain strong relationships with lead agencies, and ensure their voices guide service delivery and organizational strategies. They will navigate complex priorities, make critical decisions, and leverage community connections to identify opportunities for growth and innovation. Additionally, the Director of Programs will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies, while fostering a culture that reflects CTC's commitment to equity, inclusion, and its Guiding Values.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Leader Core Competencies

Family and Community Centered
Cultivate strong relationships with local agencies, referral sources, funders, and other service providers to enhance program impact and outreach.Represent the organization at interagency, state, and community meetings related to early childhood, healthcare, and other focus areas of CTC's programs.Work collaboratively with CTC’s Fund Development and Marketing Team to support efforts to secure donations, grants, and contracts.Program Planning and Strategy
Develop and oversee programs aligned with CTC's mission and the evolving needs of the communities we serve.Collaborate with the Leadership and Program Teams to create and execute strategic plans that drive mission achievement and operational success.Guide the work and vision for racial equity, anti-racism, and social justice across all community programs.Evaluate options for expanding services in areas of identified need, fostering innovation and sustainability.Engage innovatively to create efficiencies and build capacity across programs.Stay ahead of industry trends and practices to ensure CTC provides innovative and effective services.Prepare and deliver reports to the Board of Directors, funders, and other key stakeholders, highlighting program achievements and areas for growth.Program Operations and Coordination
Manage day-to-day operations of all programs, including program direction, performance management, financial oversight, grant compliance, fundraising, and community relations.Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure children and families receive comprehensive, integrated services.Oversee quality assurance practices to ensure programs meet high standards and comply with all applicable rules and regulations.Support the delivery of high-quality, collaborative services aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.Work collaboratively with other program leaders within the organization to ensure seamless communication, efficient operations, and effective program delivery.Client Advocacy and Relations
Ensure the voices of the children and families we serve are heard in service decisions and organizational strategies, protecting their rights and well-being.Manage client experience, satisfaction, and engagement in their care process, ensuring a positive and inclusive approach to service delivery.Communicate frequently and build strong relationships with staff, community partners, and other external stakeholders to foster collaboration.Workforce Development & Planning :
Supports employee development through regular feedback and timely professional development reviews.Oversees department staffing needs ensuring adequate resources for day-to-day activities.Manages hiring, onboarding, and exit processes as needed.Other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Demonstrable Experience and Other Qualifications
Advanced degree or commensurate nonprofit leadership experience, with four (4) years in a successful program leadership role.Six (6) years of experience in a community-focused program, such as Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) or similar, with a strong understanding of child and community development.Licensed clinical experience or expertise in related fields is a plus.Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including children, families, schools, donors, and community leaders.Demonstrated experience and passion for serving culturally, linguistically, and socioeconomically diverse communities.Entrepreneurial mindset with a history of identifying and executing opportunities for program growth and innovation.Proven history of providing exceptional service and support with both internal and external contactsProficient in Microsoft Office applications; strong Excel skills, with experience using SharePoint preferredStrong communication skills, including the ability to convey thoughts and express ideas effectively using various oral, written, visual, and / or non-verbal skills.Effective listening skills, including the ability to recognize, comprehend and appreciate various perspectives and diverse points of view.Organized and detail oriented, with the ability to organize work to meet various commitments and responsibilities.Ability to anticipate potential challenges, and adjust to changes as needed.Collaborative and participatory; serves as an active member of the team, inviting diverse perspectives to support organizational priorities and common goals.Demonstrated the ability to include, value, respect, and engage perspectives that cross cultural backgrounds, lived experiences, and diverse points of view.Strong decision-making skills, including the ability to complete duties factoring appropriate or relevant details, considerations, and input from all individuals impacted.Consciously and intentionally operates with self-awareness; consistently seeking opportunities to learning and grow in proactive and respectful waysFlexible and responsive to changing priorities and needsEnergy and enthusiasm for leading dynamic, evolving programs that meet community needs.Experience in community development, partnership building, and collaborative processes, including MOUs.Job Setting and Schedule :
Typical work is onsite at CTC, in-office is 3 days per week (minimum) with flexibility to increase in-person presence based on the needs of the work and role.
Physical Requirements :
Frequently involves sitting or standing for long periods of time. Requires the ability to lift objects such as a laptop, or other objects under 20 lbs. including, files; open filing cabinets, walking, bending, stooping, or reaching.The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Other Requirements :
Must be able to travel between CTC locations with reliable personal transportationAttend offsite meetings and events, sometimes after hours and on weekends.Compensation & Benefits :
Children’s Therapy Center offers equitable and competitive pay commensurate with job-related experience and education. The pay rate range for this position is salaried at $91,061-$149,780 per year dependent on related experience and education.

Supplemental / premium insurance options are also available. Eligible employees can enroll in our retirement plan with their first paycheck and will be eligible for company contributions after their first year of employment.
