What are the responsibilities and job description for the First Impression Specialist position at Children's Urgent Care Management LLC?
Looking to be an front-line ambassador for quality, convenient pediatric urgent care? Urgent Care for Children is looking for a Full-Time First Impression Specialist at our Daphne, AL clinic. This position is ideal for a focused individual with high interpersonal skills who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working with kids.
Responsibilities:
- First point of contact for patients, guiding checking in and out, updating patient information, verification of patient insurance eligibility/benefits and any other necessary data
- Role involves answering multi-line phone, triages and routes call in accordance with office policies
- Providing excellent customer service which is key to the experience and first line of patient care
- Process payments from patients for co-pays and cash pay
- Ensure accuracy of patient data entered and existing in EMR system
- Follow standard operating procedures of Patient Service Coordinators at Urgent Care for Children
- Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
- Keeping the front desk area and the patient waiting room organized and clean
- Fosters respect for patient privacy by maintaining confidentially in all phases of work
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree preferred)
- 1 years’ experience in medical administration or as a medical receptionist
- Familiarity with E Clinical works EMR is a plus
- Ability to handle a very fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance
- Excellent communications and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with insurance verification and co-pays, etc.
- High level of professionalism
- Strong customer service skills
- Must be willing to work in a team setting
Rotating Schedule:
Clinic staff will work on a three _ four rotating schedules that includes every other weekend, so you are working 7 out of 14 days; Example schedule (Week 1 – Monday, Wednesday and Friday; Week 2 - Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday).
Clinic Hours of Operation
o Monday – Friday 12 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
o Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Urgent Care for Children’s clinic hours subject to change based on company needs, training, etc
Compensation and Benefits:
- Position begins at $16/hour
