What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Children's Urgent Care Management LLC?
Looking to be a part of a talented, compassionate and caring pediatric team? Urgent Care for Children is looking for a Full-Time Medical Assistant at our Huntsville, AL clinic. This position is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working with kids.
Responsibilities:
- Triage patients efficiently as per clinic standard operating protocols
- Record patient information such as vital signs, weight and changes in medical history prior to each appointment
- Perform lab tests as per clinical protocols and as per medical provider orders
- Update and maintain all digital client records and assist in transitioning hard copy records to digital format
- Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments
- Help in the front office as needed, taking care of tasks such as answering phone calls and greeting patients as they enter the facility
- Administer medications as directed by a provider
- Assist providers during exam and procedures
- Perform x-ray positioning as directed
- Assist in maintaining the medical inventory as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be a graduate from an Accredited Medical Assistant Program, or Certified Medical Assistant with relevant work experience required
- Pediatric experience a plus
- High level of professionalism
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience in using electronic medical record
Rotating Schedule:
Clinic staff will work on a three _ four rotating schedules that includes every other weekend, so you are working 7 out of 14 days; Example schedule (Week 1 – Monday, Wednesday and Friday; Week 2 - Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday).
Clinic Hours of Operation
o Monday – Friday 12 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
o Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Urgent Care for Children’s clinic hours subject to change based on company needs, training, etc
Compensation and Benefits:
- Position begins at $15/hour
