Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our group working with children and families struggling with bowel and bladder dysfunction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to pediatric patients, collaborating with families, and working alongside a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. This role requires a strong understanding of pediatric bowel and bladder health, as well as the ability to work effectively in a telehealth setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients and collecting health histories.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic issues related to bowel and bladder health in children, ensuring adherence to established clinical standards.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with families and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding pathophysiology of constipation and bowel and bladder issues, treatment of those issues, and motivational strategies to be used as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Maintain up to date credentials and continuing education requirements yearly.
Experience
- A Master's degree in Nursing or equivalent from an accredited program is required.
- Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) is required.
- Previous experience in a pediatric setting is highly preferred.
