What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner position at Pediatric Neurology & Epilepsy Specialists?
Must be able to travel to Denver for in-person clinic 1 time per week. Remainder of schedule is telehealth from home.
- Assess patient health status including state of wellness, compliance with care plan and determines appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Triage patient calls and evaluates patient problems.
- Assist physician with coordinating follow-up visits and diagnostics.
- Educate patients and families as appropriate. Provides continuity of care
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, physicians and administration. 1) Demonstrate positive and effective verbal communication skills with patients, families and co-workers. Consults with other staff as necessary. 2) Demonstrate effective written communication skills.
- Document clearly and concisely. 1) Document clinical information in the patient record. 2) Maintain, interpret and apply basic clinical practice data and metrics.
- Demonstrate efficient management of time and resources.
- Utilize and conducts research/inquiry appropriate to clinical setting.
- Provide leadership. Serve as role model and share resources.
- Attend and participate in required meetings and work groups.
- Formulate appropriate professional goals. § Maintains a current level of clinical practice by selecting appropriate avenues for professional growth and maintains a minimum necessary of continuing medical education for NP or PA recertification requirements.
- Adheres to and enforces PNES clinical and administrative policies and procedures.
- Performs other PA/NP duties for PNES that are within the scope of NP/PA responsibilities.
