GENERAL SUMMARY :
This position provides clerical support for the Dental Center including triaging phone calls, obtaining all necessary demographic and financial information needed for registration and billing, managing daily schedules, scheduling patient appointments, and performing general receptionist duties.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :
Requires a high school education or equivalent plus secretarial or medical secretarial training or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of two years of related experience. Prior experience in a dental setting is preferred.
Requires excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills in order to serve a variety of people and to handle calls in an efficient, accurate, professional, and pleasant manner. Ability to maintain positive communication skills during stressful situations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Must possess organizational skills necessary to perform multiple tasks including management of phone calls, coordinating clinic appointments and prioritizing other work independently.
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail in entering data, computer scheduling and scanning patient information.
Knowledge of computer and keyboard, Microsoft Windows, word processing skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic PC issues.
Ability to sit for long periods of time and walk when assisting with errands or carrying supplies.
Schedule Details : 40 hours/week, Monday- Friday, 8:00-4:30pm
