Children’s World Learning Center is seeking highly qualified individuals with experience as a Infant / Toddler/ or Two Year Old Classroom Teacher. This list of job duties is a brief overview and is not limited to the following items.
Applicants must have the following or be willing to obtain the following:
Experience working in a Licensed Childcare Center and knowledgeable of rules and standards
- Qualification Letter from DCDEE and/or willing to obtain prior to employment
- Early Childhood Credentials (EDU 119) and/or a degree in related field of study PREFERRED
- Preferred age - 21 yrs or older
- Experience working with toddlers ranging in age 12 months - 24 months of age
Description of Childcare Teacher Positions:
- Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn
- Build strong relationships with children, their caregivers, and other staff members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and structured classroom environment
- Work directly with children, carry out daily activities, and promote individual development for each child
- Provide quality supervision continuously throughout the day
- Consistently following feeding schedules and diapering babies throughout the day
- Creating conducive activities that meet the child's individual developmental milestones as well as progression plan to the next stage of development
- Communicating with families regarding the care of their child
- Ability to use an app to provide daily information to parents
- Team player who is encouraging and positively supports others
- Strong work ethic with an understanding that the needs of all children are of utmost importance
- Ability to support and stand behind Children's Worlds philosophy
- Provide encouraging words, songs, and loving arms for toddlers to feel safe and build a trusting relationship with all children as well as family
- Encourages family engagement in various activities in the classroom and is able to communicate the benefits of the specific activity
- Meet all state rules and environmental health rules consistently each day
