Summary
The Program Supervisor for Foster Care to Permanency is responsible for assuring that foster care and adoption services are delivered in accordance with the agency’s mission, vision, and service philosophy. The Program Supervisor will ensure these services are professional, organized, and consistent with North Carolina State licensing rules, COA Standards, contract requirements and all applicable state and federal laws that apply to the program for which they are responsible. The Program Supervisor will lead a team of professionals who will work to fulfill the CHS mission of promoting the right of every child to a permanent, safe, and loving family.
Primary Job Functions

- Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of CHS programs, policies, and procedures
- Recruit, supervise, and support the professional growth of direct service staff with a compassionate and innovative approach
- Builds effective teams and leverages all members while empowering others and providing mentoring and coaching opportunities
- Promote a healthy work/life balance while maintaining professional boundaries
- Collaborate and partner across teams and programs within CHS and external community agencies
- Develop and supervise a 24 hour on call availability to assist direct service staff in crisis situations involving clients
- Complete all monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc reports to document the function and outcomes of program services
- Assure critical risk incidents are documented, reviewed, and reported to required parties in an accurate and timely manner
- Review quarterly and annual risk management reports and develop and implement corrective action plans as needed
- Participate in the development and review of client satisfaction survey instruments. Identify trends and design and implement corrective action plans as needed
- Review all elements of services delivered. Identify service methods / outcomes that require positive reinforcement or corrective action – individually or as a group
- Participate in the agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) system by reviewing quarterly CQI reports to identify trends requiring positive reinforcement or corrective action. Design and implement corrective action plans as needed
- Develop and implement annual improvement plans. Review progress towards annual improvement plans both mid-year and at years end. Develop new/revised annual improvement plans as needed
- Actively participate in Agency and Program Leadership Teams
- Manage and navigate Binti/ECHO (database system) system in order to access program reports, complete necessary data entry, and provide program staff with assistance
- Evaluate and approve program expenses according to agency policy
- Participate in public relations activities
- Adhere to Social Work Codes of Ethics or to the Code of Ethics appropriate to the applicable licensure/credentialing and comply with professional standards of the Child Welfare League
- Contribute to a positive, engaging work environment.

- Demonstrate the CHS Mission, Vision, and Values in the performance of all job duties.
- Develop a strong knowledge base and stay current on job-related issues and trends.

Schedule Expectations
This position is a salary exempt job that will require some weekends, and evenings work. Along with working our standard scheduled week. The ability to work flexible hours is required to meet business needs. If working remotely, will be required to be available by telephone and email during specified hours as required. Frequent travel required to conduct business-related activities.
