Job Overview
Senior accountant will be tasked with position specific procedures to support the overall completeness and accuracy of Children's Hospital Colorado financial statements. Senior accountant will prepare and record month-end and year-end asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information. In an accurate and timely manner, the senior accountant will also prepare balance sheet reconciliations, prepare and maintain schedules used to support accounting record, assist in analytically reviewing the balance sheet and income statement, and support the completion of various annual external audits. Senior accountant will assist and support the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts through analysis and ad-hoc reporting. A successful candidate in this role will take the initiative to solve problems and offer solutions, understands the hospital’s business, understand market place issues and governmental regulations, and exhibits effective communication.

Financial Accountability: a -Responsible for personal use of resources, supplies and materials, tracking personal spending and submitting accurate expense reports.
Judgment: Defines priorities for functional area, directly and indirectly managing resources, makes decisions and sets direction.
Qualifications
General Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position. Healthcare experience preferred. Knowledge of accounting mainframe software package and spreadsheet software and 10 key. Skill requirements include PC literacy, attention to detail, research skills and problem solving. Good oral and written communication skills and professional interaction with hospital operations and the finance department.

Salary Information
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $70,917.15 to $106,375.72
Hourly Salary Range: $34.09 to $51.14
