Job Overview
The Lead Dietitian Assistant team member will lead the Dietitian Assistants in daily operations and facilitate operations amongst the Dietitian Assistants and Room Service Coordinators. Oversees Dietitian Assistant operations in the absence of direct managers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.
Assists in the day-to-day operations of all areas of the department, supporting cross-functional work teams.
Responsible for evaluating and monitoring the quality of dietitian procedures and provides day to day direction to other team members in aspects of service delivery
Works with team members to achieve unit outcomes, performance and professional development standards; identifies opportunities for continual improvement.
Communicates with management when additional service recovery is needed or a safety concern occurs.
Assists in overseeing operations for the department to provide a clean, safe, and regulatory compliant environment
Acts as a resource to team members for the services provided; being a positive role model; and assisting with the implementation of new procedures and/or equipment within the department.
May train new and existing Dietitian Assistants on the preparation, arrangement and direction of patients’ meals and customer service standards.
May assist Executive Chef and Manager Room Service and Clinical Nutrition with planning and editing of customized menus.

Complexity: Full performance senior level. Duties assigned are generally repetitive and restricted in scope but may be of substantial intricacy. Employee primarily applies standardized practices.
Decision Making: Decisions or recommendations on non-standardized situations are limited to relating organizational policies to specific cases. Brings non-routine issues to supervisor. Problems that are not covered by guidelines or are without precedent are taken up with the supervisor.
Communications: Contacts with the public or employees where explanatory or interpretive information is exchanged, gathered, or presented and some degree of discretion and judgment are required within the parameters of the job function.
Supervision Received: Under normal supervision, within a standardized work situation, the employee performs duties common to the line of work without close supervision or detailed instruction. Work product is subject to continual review.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Healthcare or related field.
Experience: Two years of experience as a Dietitian Assistant or Dietetic Technician in a clinical or hospital based setting.
Equivalency: Professional experience, beyond requirements, in a related field may substitute for a Bachelor degree requirement on a year for year basis.

Salary Information
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $39,276.73 to $58,915.10
Hourly Salary Range: $18.88 to $28.32
