Job Overview
The Revenue Integrity Business Analyst analyzes industry trends and data in order to formulate actionable insights and business strategies in conjunction with our Revenue Integrity Charge Auditors, Pricing Analysts, and Charge Masters. The Analyst provides operation analytics to support functional business area, departmental goals and business outcomes. The Analyst coordinates reporting activities for department/unit and provides systems training and support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.
Identifies and analyzes a variety of data sets including industry trends and develops actionable insights and business strategies.
Collaborates with clinical service line leaders to support charge capture services and develop revenue opportunity focus areas to improve ongoing revenue capture.
Serves as subject matter expert related to charging and billing issues and assists in developing and maintaining CDM related policies and procedures.
Audits charges being captured by clinical departments for accuracy and completeness. Ensures that charges are crossing to the bill as intended.
Maintains knowledge of inpatient and outpatient billing requirements, coding guidelines, CMS Medicare reimbursement methodologies, and chargemaster components (HCPCS, Rev Codes, etc).
Completes moderate to complex detailed data collection and analysis.
Creates, reviews, analyzes, and maintains accurate reports. Ensures the integrity and quality of data and reports.
Creates and manages a wide variety of reporting tools.
Creates business intelligence tools or systems to analyze and report key metrics.
Develops and maintains training and training resources for end users.
Assists in completion of needs analysis for department/unit.
Communicates and disseminates information regarding tools, report, analysis, and data enhancements.

Guidelines: Guidelines are generally numerous, well established, and directly applicable to the work assignment. Work assignment and desired results are explained by general oral or written instructions.
Complexity: Duties assigned are generally repetitive and restricted in scope but may be of substantial intricacy. Employee primarily applies standardized practices.

Qualifications
EDUCATION – - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Care Administration, Finance or a related field.
EXPERIENCE – Three years of previous experience in revenue integrity, data analytics and/or operational analysis.
EQUIVALENCY – Professional experience, beyond requirements, in a related field may substitute for a Bachelor degree requirement on a year for year basis.

Salary Information
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $57,085.51 to $85,628.26
Hourly Salary Range: $27.44 to $41.17
