- Preferred educational requirements :
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
- Experience
- Complete a minimum of 12 hours of child care provider training in the first 30 days of employment.
- Complete a minimum of 12 hours of training each calendar year of employment.
- Licensures, Certifications, and / or Registries
Must be at least 19 years of age and have a high school degree or equivalent.
Related degree (Bachelors, Associates) in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field including Elementary Education, Special Education or Child Life
Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice and NAEYC accreditation guidelines.
Meet federal, as well as individual state requirements (i.e. physical, OSHA) and maintain credentials for the position (i.e. ongoing training).
