What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse position at Childrens Hospital of Birmingham?
WOCN manages conditions such as pressure ulcers, wounds, stomas, vascular ulcers, fistulas, continence diversion and functional disorders of the bowel and bladder. Responsible for the pressure ulcer program and functions as a consultant to other disciplines.
- Education
- Graduate from an accredited WOCN Education Program preferred
- Experience
- Licensures, Certifications, and / or Registries
- Board Certified WOCN must be obtained within one year of employment
- Current BLS certification required
BSN Required.
At least 3 years experience. Pediatric experience preferred
