Overview To provide high quality echocardiograms for interpretation and diagnosis by a Pediatric Cardiologist. To act as a mentor and resource for students, sonographers and fellows in performing high quality pediatric echocardiograms as well as assisting them in developing other clinical and administrative skills necessary to their roles. • Perform Pediatric Echocardiography on patients in age from newborns to adults and act as a mentor for students staff and fellows in fulfilling their roles within the Echocardioraphy Department.
• Provide care with consideration of patient's age, diagnosis, psycho-social characteristics and family stressors that affect ability to understand or retain instructions.
• Maintain service excellence in all aspects of echo lab operations.
• Maintain efficient operations of the Echo Lab
• Demonstrate commitment to teamwork and learning
• Participate in performance improvement activities designed to improve patient care and/or organizational processes

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years experience
• Associate's Degree, graduation from accredited sonography program, preferred and
  • 3-5 years experience
• Bachelor's Degree preferred and
  • 1-2 years experience
• RDCS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDCS) required upon hire
• BLS certification required upon hire
