Our Visitor Services Associates are the welcoming committee for our museum! They are stationed in our Front Lobby ready to make sure that every familys experience is off to an EPIC start. The VSA handles onsite sales for admission tickets, memberships, and our daily programs. This museum expert will answer visitors questions and inform them on current and upcoming promotions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Welcome and acknowledge all visitors to the Museum.
Inform families on / enforce all Museum Safety Protocols
Process credit card, cash, and other monetary transactions in a fast-paced environment, adhering to museum cash handling policies.
Meet Department Revenue Goals by selling annual Membership packages
Promote all current sales and discounts.
Responsible for keeping the Front Lobby and Admissions Desk tidy and organized
Clean, disinfect, and restage all areas of the Front Lobby
Communicate positively and professionally to co-workers in all levels of the organization.
Track guest Lost and Found Items
Assist with program check in.
Close / Balance daily cash drawer
Stay up to date on museum policies, exhibits, and events.
Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education/Training/Experience:
High School graduate or GED
Minimum of 1 year of customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
Must meet requirements of employment background check.
Language Skills: Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints with visitors. Fluency in Spanish and/or other languages desirable
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as counting currency and calculating discounts as well as basic mathematic skills (subtraction, multiplication, division)
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer skills; Becoming efficient in Altru and Square through training and usage to successfully meet departmental responsibilities.

Environmental Requirements:
Must be able to work in a well-lit, temperature-controlled work area. May also be exposed to extreme weather conditions with constant ambient noise levels. Must be able to work in an open area with other employees. Employees must adhere to current company and CDC pandemic related guidelines.
