- Job Summary
- The sleep technology student employee is responsible for performing specified, limited sleep technology procedures under the direct clinical supervision of a registered sleep polysomnographer. This individual will assist sleep technologists in the provision of care to patients and their families and will perform assigned duties and responsibilities according to institutional and department specific policies, procedures, and guidelines. Direct administrative supervision will be the responsibility of the Sleep Disorder Center Department Head.
- Education
- Must be currently enrolled and have completed the first semester in an accredited polysomnographic technologist program or enrolled in Accredited Sleep Technologist Education Program (ASTEP).
- Experience
- Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
- Must have current Basic Life Support certification.
