POSITION SUMMARY :
Speech-Language Pathologist
Program : ESIT
L ocation : Snohomish- North King County
Schedule : 1.0 FTE
Salary Range : $35 - $43 / hr
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to be a member of an IFSP team of trans-disciplinary professionals, responsible for providing early support services to families with a child under the age of 3, identified with a delay in their development, in alignment with clinical and ESIT practice standards. A Primary Service Provider model provides support within teams and families. In partnership with a child’s parent or caregiver, a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will use evaluative, therapeutic, and consultative services to address a family’s concerns about their child’s communication, play skills, social interactions, feeding, and other areas of development. Emphasis is placed on building caregiver capacity using coaching strategies to help caregivers learn and support their child in successfully participating in routines, daily activities, and community settings. Services are provided in a setting where children typically spend their time, these include home, daycare, or at community settings within Snohomish County and North King County.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS and KEY COMPETENCIES :
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Must be licensed to practice in Washington State.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Experience in pediatric feeding / swallowing preferred or an interest in building clinical competencies in feeding / swallowing.
- Interest in building capacity in coaching practices and engaging within a primary service provider model.
- Provide services in a child’s natural environment, such as a child’s home, daycare, other community settings.
- Ability to work collaboratively with parents, teams, and community partners.
- Follows policies and procedures; complete tasks correctly and on time.
- Provides quality work; demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge and proficiency in the use of computers and related technology (e.g., EMR’s, Word, Excel, ESIT).
- Must possess a valid WA State Driver’s License, have a reliable vehicle on the job with mileage reimbursement.
- Current First-Aid and CPR certification required.
- Pass a Background check.

ECEAP (Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program) is a high-quality preschool and family development program for underserved families in partnership with Snohomish County and the State of Washington.
