Direct Support Professional - Part Time

As a part-time Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities or special needs. You will provide compassionate care and support within our residential and day-school setting. Your responsibilities will include assisting studentswith daily living activities, implementing care plans, and fostering independence while ensuring their safety and well-being.

We have part-time positions available working first shift, second shift, and weekends! This position is perfect for students looking to gain real-life experience while in college!

Duties

• Support individuals in learning activities of daily living.
• Observe and document student behavior and progress to ensure effective communication with support teams.
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to each student or resident's specific needs and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Complete tracking of paperwork and communication logs

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in nursing home environments is highly valued.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• 18 years old or older
• A background in social work, psychology, or related fields can enhance your effectiveness in this role.
