REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in business or human resources.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A high level of honesty and integrity is required.
- A minimum of five years of human resources-related experience is required.
- Experience working with human resource information systems is required. Strong computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite of products.
GENERAL HOURS OF DUTY: This is a full-time, exempt position, working at least 40 hours per week. General working hours are anywhere between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Additional or flexible work hours may be needed based on business needs.
REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources
JOB DUTIES:
- Lead, manage, and develop a highly competent HR team by overseeing the management and administration of employee onboarding, HR policy, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, the Chileda HRIS system, workplace injuries, and other critical Human Resources functions.
- Work closely with the Director of Human Resources on department process improvement initiatives, employee engagement, talent acquisition, and retention strategies to support the current and future growth of Chileda.
- Develop and train the HR team on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure department consistency, productivity, and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with governmental laws and regulations around EEOC, worker's compensation, FMLA, etc.
- Serve as Chileda's HRIS administrator, handling setup, function, maintenance, system optimization, and training to ensure efficient software utilization.
- Perform duties related to the processing of bi-weekly payroll, in partnership with the Chileda Finance department.
- Partner with the Director of Human Resources to implement and administer employee engagement surveys, performance evaluations, and other HR initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Affordable Care Act requirements, including processing 1095's.
- Ensure proper management of all benefits enrollment and termination areas to ensure compliance with applicable employment laws. This includes communicating benefit information and answering benefit-related questions from staff, acting as a liaison between employees and insurance providers to resolve benefits-related issues, performing monthly invoice reconciliation of benefit carriers, and assisting the Director of Human Resources with open enrollment initiatives.
- Serve as a resource for employees by answering work-related issues and concerns or directing them to the correct individual on the HR team.
- Partner closely with Chileda leaders to assist with employee performance management or counseling and participate in employee investigations and terminations.
- Oversee the organization's background check procedure, ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies; complete monthly Provider Information Exchange (PIE) duties.
- Perform all duties required as Chileda's 401K Administrator; this includes program enrollments, cashouts, education, and annual census.
- Partner closely with the Director of Human Resources and the HR team on department initiatives and projects focused on talent development, onboarding, policy, recruitment benefits, and employee relations.
