Enthusiastic office assistants, please apply! As our peak season is quickly approaching, we are seeking a motivated and responsible individual with experience working in a fast paced environment to join our team. We are a .com distributor and contractor business providing chimney and fireplace services to the DMV area for over 25 years; commercial and residential. Our office and recently renovated fireplace showroom is located in Silver Spring, Maryland. We are looking for the best candidate to help us thrive. You should be well mannered, reliable and able to work independently as well as with a team. We would like all applicants to have solid prior experience in a similar setting. Chimney or hearth industry knowledge is desirable, but not initially required. Knowledge is power! We encourage continued education and offer regular training opportunities through our industry partners. The hours are 12:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday.
Major duties may include, but are not limited to:
- demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- work calmly and efficiently under pressure
- maintain organized environment
- manage multiple phone lines
- answer incoming and outgoing telephone calls with positive attitude
- check and reply to emails and voicemails
- schedule and coordinate appointments
- answer inquiries with consideration and intelligence
- process payments over the phone
- operate and search using customer/appointment automated database
- operate basic computer applications
- handle estimates with prompt followup calls and scheduling
- file estimates and receipts in appropriate locations
- balance basic administrative tasks
- gain and maintain knowledge of chimney services and products offered
- build strong professional relationships with clients
- ensure exemplary service is being provided at each job location
