Hospitality Corporation seeks Human Resource Generalist for fast track growth.
Responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level. This position carriers out responsibilities in the following functional areas: payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, on-boarding, policy implementation, recruitment/ employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.
Primary responsibilities
- Processes all personnel actions in HRIS including but not limited to new hires, onboarding, promotions, salary adjustments, transfers, supervisor changes and terminations of employment.
- Interview, hire, train, recommend and assist in performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate.
- Partner with managers and resolve employee relations issues, concerns and conflicts.
- Develop, implement and administer the employee handbook, policies and programs related to the management of all restaurant personnel.
- Performs benefits administration, including reviewing of new healthcare insurance plans, employee eligibility and assisting employees with insurance questions.
- Coordinate payroll, tax withholdings, payroll statutory requirements, wage garnishments and benefit/voluntary deductions and third-party sick pay.
- Ensure compliance with all State and Federal Laws as well as regulations and court rulings which pertain to Human Resources by reviewing current management practices implementing new procedures and communicating verbally in writing any new requirement.
- Must be detail oriented and remain focused in a fast-paced environment with strong organization skills. Excellent interpersonal skills to provide overall employee satisfaction.
- Maintains professionalism at all times, demonstrating courtesy and respect to employees and co-workers. Must exercise discretion and confidentiality and use judgment on important company matters
Qualifications
- Four-year college degree in human resources, business, hospitality or related major.
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Experience with or working in a multi-unit restaurant corporation is preferred.
- Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, effectively with co-workers; respond to employee requests, with high level of patience, diplomacy and tact.
- Ability to operate computers to include MS Office suite software.
