Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS / ATTACHMENTS :

• Two (2) letters of recommendation - must be signed and dated within the last 24 months. Only wet signatures and e-signatures will be accepted; names typed out in a stylized font will not be accepted as a signature. Letters from relatives are not acceptable.
• Driver Record Request from DMV. (See requirements listed.)
• Copy of College Transcripts.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :

Must possess, or obtain prior to appointment, a valid California Driver's License. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain insurability status under the District's vehicle insurance policy.

Must be willing to drive to a variety of locations to conduct work during day, evening, and weekend hours.

Must be willing to occasionally work flexible hours dependent upon the needs of the District.

An offer of employment in this position is contingent upon passing a physical examination.

REQUIREMENTS :

Bachelor's degree in mass media, film / television, communication, journalism or closely related field with at least three years of experience in multi-media communication positions with emphasis on digital media and video production, including pre- and post- production, operating video production equipment, digital cameras, non-linear editing equipment and computer based video editing software.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for up to two years of the education requirement. One year of experience in a closely related field can be substituted for one year of the education requirement thereby increasing the experience requirement for each year substituted. (30 accredited semester credit units = 1 year)

Must attach a Driver Record Request from the Department of Motor Vehicles dated no earlier than six (6) months before the opening date listed on the job posting on EdJoin. Only DMV online / DMV official printout is acceptable. Printout from insurance companies or other source is not acceptable. Printout can be obtained using the link provided on EdJoin, "CA DMV Record Request". The document must include the word "end" on the final page to indicate the complete document has been submitted.

Pass the District Digital Media and Video Production Specialist Test and any combination of written, oral, and performance tests which may be administered to secure the best qualified applicants.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :

All application materials for each applicant will be evaluated by a screening committee. A combination of written, oral, and performance tests may be administered to secure the best qualified applicants. Those who are deemed best qualified will be scheduled for an interview.
