Job Summary
We’re looking for an experienced salesperson or account manager with previous work history on job sites and/or in the lumber industry. As a Contractor Sales representative, you will be responsible for seeking out new business as well as maintaining relationships with existing clients by providing support to the large accounts assigned to you. Much of your day will be spent out of the office visiting job sites to lend support to builders, so organizational skills and familiarity with construction are a must. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule. You will set your own hours in accordance with the accounts you are assigned.

You are a confident and seasoned professional who has extensive experience in the lumber industry. You are comfortable visiting job sites and sharing knowledge. You get a great deal of satisfaction out of using your industry experience to anticipate your clients’ needs and provide support. You are outgoing, friendly, and a skilled communicator. You have the people skills needed to maintain client relationships and be the face of our Company to our larger accounts. As this position will require you to look for new business, you enjoy the hunt and are able to deal with rejection. You are reliable and an organized self-starter, who enjoys the freedom and flexibility of setting your own schedule.
Responsibilities
• Manage large accounts and be the “sidewalk superintendent” on clients’ job sites
• Maintain client relationships
• Help builders manage job sites, plan ahead, and provide support where needed
• Be the face of Chinook Lumber to our clients who rarely step foot in our stores
• Cultivate and foster new business
• Manage own schedule in accordance with client needs
