JOB SUMMARYThe job duties of the Clinician include but are not limited to provide effective mental health services to consumers of Chippewa County; to provide clinical supervision for certified programs and to ensure that certified programs are meeting all requirements of federal, state and county regulations; to provide community leadership in the areas of understanding and supporting persons with mental illness; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.Click here for full position description and search: Clinician. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe duties described below are indicative of what the Clinician might be asked to perform. This job description is to incorporate any county ordinances created for the position of Clinician. This is not an exhaustive list of job responsibilities and therefore other duties may be assigned: Administrative Functions: • Conduct intake interviews and/or assessments with consumers to determine present problems, explain available treatment options, and obtain appropriate information. Make appropriate AODA referrals as assessed to be appropriate.• Facilitate multi-disciplinary/staff meetings that may include CSP, CCS and or Emergency Mental Health.• Conduct court-ordered and/or in depth evaluations, including social intake, and arranges psychological testing and/or psychiatric evaluations.• Handle crisis intervention, including one-to-one or telephone,, suicidal clients, etc. and emergency hospitalization, etc.• Evaluate individual consumers, develop treatment plans, crisis plans, and make recommendations to the RWC Manager and psychiatrist, on individual clients as part of a treatment team.• Maintain appropriate records, including letters, progress notes, social intakes, initial and in-depth assessments, reviews, treatment plans, terminations, court-ordered evaluations, etc.• Assure compliance to Medicaid billing codes and other standards.• Authorize services to be provided by internal and/or external parties.o Authorize payments to be made to providers.o Work within budgetary guidelines.o Process billing for accuracy.• Contribute to the development of annual report, strategic plan, healthy work environment and agency score card.• Participate in community events and attend collaborative workgroups to advocate for consumers. • Participate in television and newspaper interviews as directed.• Upon request, provide mental health education and community awareness to students, community groups, treatment agencies, and the public at large.• Provide clinical consultation/supervision to other county mental health agencies as required.• Evaluate own needs for professional development and plan to meet those needs.Customers: • All prospective, current or past DHS consumers.Team Members: • Any professional or paraprofessional we work with in the serving of consumers.
