Chipton-Ross is seeking an Emergency Dispatch Specialist for a contract opportunity in Mesa, AZ.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Global Security Operation Center (GSOC) is a dynamic organization that serves as a resource and Communication hub within Security and Fire, to improve the safety and security of people, property, information, and business operations worldwide. The highly skilled Emergency Dispatch team supports Security and Fire operations and enables production across the domestic United States (US), we deliver this unique capability through our exceptional talent. Duties may include (but are not limited to) :
o Responsible for answering and entering emergency calls while simultaneously dispatching for and monitoring multiple fire and security radio channels with moderate to high volume radio traffic
o Provide approved Pre-Arrival Instructions according to policies and procedures
o Make required and requested notifications
o Perform in a team environment
o Support training and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) formulation as needed
o Candidate will be Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) Certified and in good standing (EMD training is provided in-house)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE) :
o Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
o 1 years of experience working as an emergency dispatcher at a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) or in a related role within Security & Fire Protection
o Experience working under stressful situations in a collaborative team environment
o Experience taking ownership of actions and mistakes
o Experience accepting and implementing constructive criticism and feedback
o Experience with hearing and understanding multiple sound sources while simultaneously and accurately documenting information in Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD)
o Experience with being professional and courteous with all customer interactions in person, on the telephone and on the radio
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE) :
o 1 years of experience multi-tasking and working in a team environment
o Experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
o Willing to work variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
o Ability to able to type 40 wpm
EDUCATION :
Accredited education / experience typically acquired
through basic education (e.g. High School diploma / GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school / Associate).
WORK HOURS :
FULL TIME / VARIABLE SHIFTS; First week training is 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 00 PM, dispatch center operates 24x7x365 and the candidate must be willing to work variable shifts, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
